Lottery Update

RSAR is housed in portables on the Eastlake High School campus in Sammamish, WA.

All families should be prepared to transport their student to and from RSAR each day as there is no district wide transportation available. Before signing up for the lottery, please review your commute to see if it is feasible to get your student to and from RSAR each day. Students residing within the Eastlake High School attendance zone, take the bus to school.

Students must reside within the LWSD's boundaries by the lottery deadline to be eligible for participation in the lottery.

RSAR offers a rigorous curriculum with a focus on visual and performing arts. We empower students to express themselves artistically, think critically, and develop strong social-emotional intelligence. More information if RSAR is the right choice, can be found HERE.

After the lottery is held at the district office, each student will be assigned a number at each choice school applied for. Families will be notified on (TBD), for the 2027-2028 lottery for acceptance or waitlist. Acceptance is due from families on TBD. Those students put on the waitlist will be notified as spots become available. Families on the waitlist will be contacted via email and will have 24 hours to accept or decline. If there is no response within 24 hours, the student will be removed from the waitlist, and the next number will be called. Please be sure to check your spam folder. If you applied to multiple choice schools and accept a spot, your student will be removed from all other choice school waitlists.

The waitlist for the 2026-2027 school year is closed. If you were on the waitlist and declined or did not respond to our enrollment offer, you will need to sign up for the lottery again if you would like your student to attend RSAR.

The next opportunity to sign up for the lottery will be November 2026 for the 2027-2028 school year.

RSAR will offer a choice lottery information session prior to the lottery opening. School tours and teacher meetings are not available. We will have a welcome event for incoming students in the spring to meet the teachers, learn about the program, and tour the school. 

After families are notified of initial placement offers, a response is due by the due date in your offer email.

After the initial deadline, families who received an offer, but did not respond to accept/decline placement, will be removed from the list and we will extend offers to students on the waitlist. Waitlisted families will have 24 hours to accept or decline the offer once it is issued.
