Performance Info
Tuesday, January 17th Winter Showcase Plan and Information
This is such an exciting time for our community. Yes, it is true, it is also a stressful and anxious time for many as well. But in all of the Performing Arts classes my emphasis is constantly on having fun and just showing up and doing your best. With that said, we are so excited to be performing for you next week, including Mrs. Daman. Below you will find all of the information about how the school day will go including dress/tech rehearsal, dinner time and the performance.

2:00 – 3:30 Options
If students are able to go home and get back in time for Dress/Tech rehearsal in the theater, then they can go home for a bit. Students, with permission from their parents in the form of the poll on Parent Square, can go get a snack and walk by going over to the Safeway shopping center. Parents can also send a note to Mrs. Daman via their child or in an email specifically stating permission for your child to go off campus for that hour.
3:30 – 5:30 Dress/Tech Rehearsal in EHS Theater
This rehearsal will take place in the EHS theater. The purpose of this rehearsal is to synch up the performers with the sound in the theater, performing on the stage and the lights. Students will be sitting in the audience during this rehearsal and not needing to go back stage.
5:30 – 6:15 Dinner @ Renaissance
After the dress/tech rehearsal students will head back to Renaissance where they will be able to eat dinner. If your child needs or you would like to bring them dinner, feel free to do that by meeting us at Renaissance between 5:30 – 5:45. PTSA will be providing dinner for those who would like it. It will probably be a combination of pizza, salad, bread sticks, and water. Mrs. Daman will send a survey to parents to let us know what your family’s preference is so that we can plan accordingly.
6:15 – 6:50 Getting Ready to Perform
Students will then get themselves ready to perform. They will need to get into costume, at least brush their teeth, and clean up any garbage they have created with dinner and getting ready. The whole group will meet in Mrs. Daman’s room to do a short warm-up and then everyone will head over to the theater. The students will be broken up into three groups and two of the groups will be sitting in the audience waiting for their group’s turn to perform. More about this will be explained to the students later this week.
7:00 PM – 8:00 PM Performance in the EHS Theater
This performance is free. All family, friends and neighbors are welcome to attend, the more the merrier.
